About Foot Focus Podiatry

Foot Focus Podiatry was established in Perth in 2000 and is dedicated to providing a caring and understanding environment for all your podiatry concerns for your whole family. We are able to treat general podiatry conditions such as a simple corn / ingrown nail to more complicated biomechanical concerns.

Our clinic has over 100 years of combined knowledge, 7 Podiatrists including a Podiatric Surgeon

Foot focus is a hands on clinic, all podiatrists have completed additional courses and participate in weekly in-house case discussions & training to ensure we provide you with the highest level and up to date care.

Dr Naraghi is a real asset to our team being a Podiatric Surgeon (Foot Surgeon) with over 20 years experience. We as a team can offer all conservative options including foot surgery where necessary.

The Foot Focus Difference

Our bodies are amazing creations and its structures are deeply interconnected. That’s what makes Foot Focus Podiatrists different – we address the whole body and not just your area of pain. Rather than just treating symptoms we also aim to treat the root cause of your problem.

From experience we believe this allows for better, long lasting results.

So when you visit Foot Focus not only will you be having you biomechanics checked but your podiatrist will be checking for so much more. Our podiatrists are able to quickly test and identify dysfunction in the biomechanics and fascial chains that link the foot with the leg, pelvis, spine and upper extremities.

Our Podiatrists

Foot Focus Podiatry is a clinic which can help you with many foot and lower limb related issues. When you visit Foot Focus Podiatry you will be seeing a podiatrist who –

  • specialises in muscular skeletal conditions which allows a thorough assessment of your lower body muscles and joints.
  • takes a holistic and systematic approach in considering how your feet may also contribute to possible knee, hip or back pain.
  • utilises mainstream therapies such as at-home exercises, strengthening, footwear and orthoses (shoe inserts/orthotics).
  • utilises complimenting therapies such as joint mobilisation, trigger-point release, osteopathic techniques and acupuncture. Below is an explanation of these therapies and how they allow us to help you.

It is a combination of our training, additional courses (below) and over 55 years of combined knowledge and patient care that enables Foot Focus Podiatry to best look after your foot and lower limb concerns.

Additional manual therapy courses

Course What? Benefits to You
Mobilisation of joints Correction of joint movement – quality and range. Particularly useful for generalised achy or stiff feet and legs. Also beneficial for chronic problems.
Muscle dry needling & Trigger point release Unlocking the soft tissue that is involved in the pain. A fast and effective way to remove “muscle knots”.
Strain-Counterstrain Therapy that identifies tender points within your fascia A gentle, very fast (90 secs) and effective way of helping fascial tightness which cause dysfunction and pain
Laser therapy (LLLT) Works on a cellular level influencing the course of metabolic processes. Can be used on most conditions but is particularly beneficial in treating painful scars & chronic ankle / muscle injuries
Osteopathy Mobilisation & manipulation techniques for the foot and ankle. Allows diagnoses of foot dysfunction based on osteopathic biomechanics and palpation of motion testing. These gentle techniques are beneficial in restoring joint movement and quality of movement.
Advanced orthotic therapy comprehensive understanding of how orthoses (shoe inserts) are made. This ensures greater individualisation when making your orthoses.
Acupuncture Inserting and manipulating needles into various points on the body to relieve pain or for therapeutic purposes. Allows for additional pain relief.
